Vintage Seaman Schepps jewelry design is based on multiple adoptions and rearrangements of the existing styles. For instance, the Maltese cross broches and earrings came from Verdura. Wide cuff bracelets were inspired by Belperon. But the House designers don’t just repeat someone’s ideas. Seaman Schepps has its own distinct character stated in the unique color combinations and unusual cuts. As to the exotic materials, Schepps was inspired to implement them while being on his trip to Hong Kong. He spotted row coral branches, carved ivory, architectural ornaments and many other features of the Oriental aesthetic. Later each of those elements were incorporated in iconic Schepps jewelry.
