Flechtwerk. Der RDeckel mit goldgeprägtem Ay Yildiz (Halbmond und Stern) in reicher Verzierung (stärker (spor)fleckig u. bestoßen, Rücken erneuert).Pascal Sebah (1823-1886) war ein französischer Fotograf in Konstantinopel, der für seine einzigartigen Kompositionen und seinen kreativen Einsatz von Licht Bekanntheit erlangte. In den späten 1870er Jahren wurde Sebah zum Cheffotografen des osmanischen Hofes ernannt. Nach seinem Tod ging sein Sohn Jean eine Partnerschaft mit Policarpe Joallier ein, woraufhin das Studio als Sebah & Joaillier bekannt wurde. Das Panorama wurde vom Calata-Turm aus aufgenommen und zeigt den Hafen und seine Umgebung mit Blick auf den Bosporus, den Topkapi-Palast, den Haliç (Goldenes Horn), hinüber zur asiatischen Seite von Üsküdar. - Bindung an einer Stelle gebrochen, insbesondere die Trägerkartons etw. stockfleckig, tls. etw. verfärbt, insgesamt gut.Turkey. - Constantinople. - Impressive ten-piece folding panorama of Constantinople. Contemporary half leather with gilt tooling to the boards (stronger (mould) stained and bumped, spine renewed). - The panorama was taken from the Calata Tower and shows the harbor and its surroundings with views of the Bosphorus, the Topkapi Palace, the Haliç (Golden Horn), across to the Asian side of Üsküdar. - Binding broken in one part, especially the backing cardboards somewhat foxed, the albumen prints partly somewhat discoloured, altogether good. 600
