[ translate ]

Secretaire with writing flap.
. Early Empire. Solid mahogany, extra glued with mahogany veneer, especially selected. This wood was originally polished. Wax is a kind of lacquer made of shellac - a natural raw material.

. Massive full columns adorn the front.
. Likewise made of mahogany and glued with selected mahogany veneer.
. The capitals and bases are cast brass and then fire-gilded. Traditional wood connections, such as pin-and hole connections and swallow-tail connections for the drawers.

. The writing flap - abbatant - has a wide brass lock with double bolts.
. Turn the key once to lock the flap and twice to lock the drawer above it.
. Behind the writing flap there's a magnificent interior with 7 drawers and a safe with lock.
. On top a surface to place objects flanked by two green patinated columns in the colour of oxidised copper and green leather.
. The shelf above is taken away. Because of this there is more height.
. The writing top has a solid mechanism to lean on and is inlaid with green calf leather. In good condition - on the picture not yet polished.

. The sides are made of one piece over the full width made of a thick tree.

. A nice height, you can still look on the upper part, which has a black hard stone plate the completes it.
