Secrétaire à abattant - Louis XVI - mahogany, fruitwood and ebony inlays - 1775-1795

Dutch Louis XVI secretaire with hinged desk, 18th century, intarsia mouldings. Mahogany, fruitwood and ebony inlays. Diagonal flat corners, the whole on tapered legs. Continuous mahogany veneer (on oak) . Fire-gilded knobs in the interior, original lock and key in the hinged desk. Hinged desk inlaid with cognac coloured supple calf leather. Beautiful small model, seize proportions. The whole is in a neat and good condition. The Netherlands, circa 1775-1795. Dimensions: H= 147 cm. W= 99 cm. D= 47 cm. Recently thoroughly checked for loose parts of the construction and veneer. Woodworm inspection: No active woodworm found. The last three photos are the way of packaging for foreign transport. Euro pallet with stretch foil and sturdy thick cardboard or plastic runner with at least two lashing straps. Take photos of the packaging upon receipt to exclude damage during transport.
