Seguace di Pompeo Batoni del XIX secolo - Sacra Famiglia

[ translate ]

\Artist: Seguace di Pompeo Batoni del XIX secolo
Technique: Oil on canvas\Signature: Not signed\Dimensions: 115_90_3_cm
Painting with a classic composition deriving from sixteenth-century models, but with clear reference to the work of Pompeo Batoni (1708-1787) , whose works our artist demonstrates that he knows: in this regard, reference is made to the ‘Sacra Famiglia’ from a private collection in Rimini registered in the Catalogo Generale dei Beni Culturali and that preserved in the Pinacoteca Capitolina in Rome: in both with particular reference to St. Joseph, placed in the background in terms of space and light, compared to the figures of the Madonna and the Sleeping Child. In good overall condition, only with small, insignificant abrasions; the paint adheres well to the base. The analysis of the craquelure suggests a dating at the first half of the nineteenth century. Without frame. The photos are an integral part of the description. Please note: Shipping costs and times for some Italian smaller islands and foreign destinations may be higher than indicated. Insurance is not included: it will be calculated on the actual sales value, as it varies on a percentage basis. In both cases it will be my concern to report them to the buyer in advance (in case of uninsured shipment, I will not be responsible for loss or damage of the package although the utmost care in the packaging is guaranteed) .
