Description: Very large Brandy Bowl — Northern Germany or Baltic States, 1st half of the 18th century. Oval, deeply hollowed form on three large spherical feet, rocaille handles on the narrow sides, engraved ''JAH Almers 1731'' under the rim; flat octagonal star in the hollow. Silver with gilding. Unclear master's and city marks on the handle. 12.5 x 30 x 17 cm; 486 g. / Sehr große Branntweinschale Norddeutschland oder Baltikum, 1. H. 18. Jh. Ovale, tief gemuldete Form auf drei großen Kugelfüßen, an den Schmalseiten Rocaillenhenkel, unter dem Rand graviert ''JAH Almers 1731''; in der Mulde flach getriebener achteckiger Stern.
