Seljuk Bronze Oil Lamp

Circa 12th-13th century AD
This bronze oil lamp showcases a flattened round body with a protruding spout, two lateral handles with openwork edges, and a hinged conical lid with a pointed finial. Sitting atop a balustered stem rising from a shallow circular tray, the lamp's back connects with the tray via a riveted handle, complete with a thumbs rest shaped like a flower bud.
