Semi-Antique All Wool Baluch Carpet

2'7" x 4'1"

Hand-knotted Baluch prayer rug, the navy field set beneath a stepped arch and filled with a camel and brown diamond lattice of small blossoms, flanked by ivory-ground columns of stepped motifs, with salmon-ground panels of stylized trees at each end. Narrow borders of star rosettes on a dark ground. All-wool with natural abrash, and fringe at both ends. Persian, ca. 1970's/1980's

The perceived colors of a carpet depend on monitor calibration, the diffraction of light from the carpet pile, and human color perception.

Condition: Good, some sporadic wear to fringe at one end.
