The perceived colors of a carpet depend on monitor calibration, the diffraction of light from the carpet pile, and human color perception.

Condition: Very Good. Flatwoven wool, bright and strongly colored with natural abrash through the olive, gold and red areas; no fading. Weave sound throughout, with no holes, tears, open slits or reweaving observed and no moth damage. Light surface fuzzing in a few areas, scattered small loose fibers and a few minor dark specks. Fringes present at both ends, clean and even, with minor loss and light fraying. Side selvedges intact. Edges slightly irregular and the ends a little uneven, inherent to a flatweave; lies acceptably flat. No staining or water marks noted.
