Senneh - Carpet - 241 cm - 161 cm

[ translate ]

In addition to its attractive appearance, this Seneh city carpet has certain features that are of particular interest to the collector. The most important thing is to realize that all colors appear to be natural, that is, of plant origin. It is often assumed that synthetic colors were used for the carpets of this period (1940 - 1950) . In this example, the intensely bright plant colors with their inimitable luminosity disprove this assumption. Here the weaver shows his skills in the finest weaving of cork wool on cotton.
