Sensuous 10th C. Indian Stone Torso Female Deity

South Asia, India, ca. 900 to 1200 CE. A beautiful and sensuous female deity figure, carved from a beige sandstone with pink hues. She wears the traditional dhoti around her waist, a textured, fitted top that shows off her bare midriff. A necklace and long curled, spiral-braided hair, frames her youthful face. He visage features large almond-shaped eyes, full lips, and a circular third eye on her brow. Her voluptuous body is slightly curved, as if she was in the midst of a swaying dance. This is lovely depiction and likely adorned a temple or shrine. Size: 4" W x 8" H (10.2 cm x 20.3 cm); 11.75" H (29.8 cm) on included custom stand.
