DESCRIPTION: Sergio Bustamante (Mexican, 1949) Figural sun sculpture depicting a sun head with a boy body in an upside acrobatic pose. The metal sculpture sits atop a square base, is signed "Sergio Bustamante" and numbered "6/50".
Bustamante is a Mexican Artist and sculptor born in Culiacan, Sinaloa in 1949. He studied architecture at the University of Guadalajara. This lot includes a table book titled "The Mexico of Sergio Bustamante" produced by Clint Clemens and Tyler Smith, and original 1999 purchase receipt from the "Galerà a de Artes en Joyas y Artesanà a" from Jalisco, Mexico.
