Set of 10 Chinese Dehua Cups, 18th Century

A set of ten Chinese Dehua cups dating from the 18th century. They come in a wooden box. Each cup is decorated with molded cranes and dragons with trees. They are almond-shaped with scalloped edges, and they have deep basins.

Dimensions are: each cup measures 1 1/2 inches tall X 2 3/4 inches wide, 3.8 cm X 7 cm, while the box measures 2 3/4 inches tall X 7 3/4 inches wide X 11 1/4 inches deep, 7 cm X 19.7 cm X 28.6 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: Seven of the cups have chipping to the rim. One cup has a star crack to the body. Two of the cups are in overall good condition. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is. Provenance: From the private, premier collection of a gentleman in Cleveland, Ohio. The items in the collection were acquired starting in the 1970s from auction houses including Christie's, Sotheby's, and Bonhams, as well as from various private collections in the United States.
