These elegant Arita-yaki sugi-nari yunomi soup or rice bowls feature ornate floral decorations underneath a crazed glaze with gilding and red enameling on top. Unlike most Arita ware, these bowls are made of stoneware rather than porcelain. Made by Kiyohide Kiln (æ¸â€Â¦&At ilde;§Â§€).

Arita-yaki (æœâ€Â°Ãƒ&sec t;”°çâ€Å¾¼) is a type of Japanese pottery that traditionally comes from the are around the town of Arita on the island of Kyushu, Japan. Since the discovery of the raw materials for porcelain near Arita in the 16th century, Arita has been one of the major centers of Japanese porcelain production.

Measurements:
5.25 inches in diameter x 3 5/8 inches high.
