Set of 3 large, high quality dark green patinated bronze cranes, usually placed in the garden - Patinated bronze - Japan

[ translate ]

A set of 3 large high quality garden ornaments shaped like elegant cranes 鶴 (tsuru) , crafted from dark green patinated bronze with red accents, and very refined detailing

Typically, these cranes are positioned near a pond or water feature, enhancing the charm of a Japanese garden alongside stone lanterns (tôrô-yukimi) and possibly other stone garden ornaments. Of course, they also make an excellent standalone addition to any garden.

One of the garden ornaments, shaped like a crane, is gracefully bent over, capturing a fish from the water below, its beak still holding the wriggling catch. This crane needs to stand on three points: the two legs and the beak. The other crane stands tall, raising its head towards the sky as though it is calling out at this very moment.
The other tall crane is raising its head towards the back looking up into the sky.
The 3 cranes need special attention with placing them on the ground so they stand stable.

All in a very good original condition and with a nice patina and minimal traces of use. The feet are detachable. Please see the photos as a reference to its condition.

In Japan, the crane is one of the mystical or holy creatures and symbolizes good fortune and longevity because of its fabled life span of a thousand years.
