Set of George III fruit spoons in box (2) - .925 silver - Samuel Godbehere, Edward Wigan, James Bolt, London - England - 1804

This is een antique set of sterling silver Victorian English (red) fruit spoons in the original box with gilded spoon bowl in which bas-relief fruit is depicted. This set of spoons is in excellent undamaged condition, the box has suffered some superficial damage in its 205 years of its existence, but even the clasp and the hinges work well. This set was manufactured in 1804 in London in the silver smithy of 'Samuel Godbehere, Edward Wigan, James Bolt', all of which can be read from the markers and master characters. Nett silver weight approx. 110 grams Length spoons approx. 21 cm Width spoon bowls approx. 4. 5 cm Dimensions box 25 cm x 11 cm x 3. 5 cm (Lx. Wx. H) Will be shipped with extra insured service for antiques and precious metals by POSTNL.
