Yixing Clay Teapot with Shiji Yufeng Jinting mark. L 21cm, W 16.5cm, H 15cm. Base Mark: Shi Ji Yu Feng. Lid Mark: Yu Feng. Shoulder Mark: Jin Ting. Late Qing dynasty. The 'Yu Feng' mark refers to a purple clay pottery shop from the late Qing dynasty to the early Republic of China. It was founded by Wu Qi Nan, the father of Wu Tonggou, who was a direct descendant of Wu Yishan and lived on the South Street of Shushan. It was established in the second year of the Xuantong period in the Qing dynasty (1910). The early marks used were 'Ding Yu,' and they were carved with a bamboo knife.
