Set of Six Mustard Yellow-painted and Paint-decorated Bamboo-turned Tablet-back Windsor Chairs, Attributed to Jonathan Whitney, Templeton, Massachusetts, c. 1828-35, the crests with rounded edges continuing to the flat-front stiles above four spindles and shaped seats, original surface with powder-gilt grapevines in the tablets, surrounded by red and black pinstriping which continues down the stile and is repeated on the edges of the seats, ht. 33 3/4, seat ht. 18 in.
