Set of Twelve French Porcelain 'Armorial' Plates

Late Nineteenth Century. Each painted in the center with the coat-of-arms flanked by large scrolled acanthus leaves, under the crests of a demi-lion rampant, helmet in paws, and an armored embowed arm holding a dagger, and above the motto "NEC PAVIDE NEC TEMERITER," the well surrounded by a wide gold bellflower and flowerhead border, the rim painted with three panels enclosing flower stems, reserved on a blue ground and within a gilt vine border around the rim edge, unmarked.
