About: A tall and striking pair of ebonized wood armchairs with tapered horn shaped backs often attributed to Edward Wormley for Dunbar. The chairs are highly stylized and influenced by the designs of Italian furniture maker Paolo Buffa. The chairs are by Maxwell Royal American designed and made in Hickory North Carolina USA. Some dealer's refer to it as a high-backed Chieftain armchair. The pair has been expertly recovered in a fabulous forest green velvet and sit in excellent condition following a complete restoration.

Condition Details: This commanding set of gorgeous armchairs underwent a complete restoration. The solid maple frames were sanded and then ebonized. The brand new velvet upholstery is devoid of any blemishes or odors whatsoever and expertly applied. These chairs are extremely comfortable structurally sound and ready for decades more of use.
