Sevres Hand Painted Porcelain Portrait Plate Signed De Ligny

This fine Sevres porcelain cabinet plate features a hand painted central bust portrait depicting a young boy with golden curls, dressed in a blue jacket with a ruffled white collar, sash, and star order medal. The portrait is signed "De Ligny" along the lower left of the central medallion. The rich cobalt blue (bleu de Roi) border is decorated with intricate gilt foliate scrollwork and delicate floral star motifs along the scalloped rim. The underside bears an iron-red painted mark reading " Mre Imple de Sevres " alongside remnants of an old paper inventory label.

Condition: Overall very good antique condition. The hand-painted central portrait remains vibrant and clear with minimal surface wear. The cobalt blue rim shows light rubbing to the gilded scrolling accents consistent with age, and the reverse displays light shelf wear along the foot rim alongside adhesive residue from a previous label. No visible chips, cracks, or structural repairs.
