Sevres, a Large Trembleuse or Covered 2 Handled Cup with Saucer
The very well painted cup with a portrait of a woman (possibly Marie Antoinette) in period attire on the front and a cartouche of flowers on reverse. The portrait illegibly signed near the lower right.
The dark blue ground highlighted with heavy gilding and floral accents.
Marks: Sevres Interlaced "L" marks in blue with a date mark in center of "C", indicating 1755-1756,
letter mark of "L" underneath the interlaced marks. All marks are in blue and each mark is identical on the cup, the lid, and the saucer.
