Seymchan Meteorite Pallasite, PMG Magadanskaya Oblast, Russia - (62° 54'N, 152° 26'E) Found: June 1967 This thin section slice of the Seymchan Meteorite from Russia represents a highly collectible variety of Pallasite and offers a relatively large surface area compared to its total weight of just under 150 grams. The slab is a wonderful silvery metallic color with Widmanstätten patterning over both sides as well as crystals of greenish-yellow Olivine which ‘fire up' dramatically when backlit due to the translucency of this slice. The shape is attractive in form with nice contrast between the differential aspects of the slab. Seymchan is a consistently popular Pallasite among collectors, and this example confirms why this is so. Overall Measurements: 7.09 x 3.94 x 0.05 inches (18.00 x 10.00 x 0.13 cm), weighs 148.36 grams [Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
