Signed in plate at lower left of image; pencil signed at lower right margin. Sir Francis Seymour Haden was an English surgeon, best known as an original etcher who championed original printmaking. He was one of the founders the Society of Painter-Etchers, now the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, and was its first president. Haden also compiled the first catalogue raisonné of Rembrandt's etchings.
Condition Report: Some matte burn in margins, image darkened a bit.
