Seymour Lash (American, 1925-2011). Handcrafted model of the "Cutty Sark" 3-masted sailing ship with green, black & gold hull, presented with sails furled. Approx. h. 16", l. 21.25", w. 4", base 4.625" x 18.75". Note: Cutty Sark is aBritish clipper ship. Built on the River Clyde in 1869 for the Jock Willis Shipping Line, she was one of the last tea clippers to be built and one of the fastest, coming at the end of a long period of design development, which halted as sailingships gave way to steam propulsion.
