Sharaku Color Ukiyo-e Kabuki Woodcut
Sharaku, Toshusai (Japanese, active late 1700's), The Actor Omezo Ichikawa I as Yakko Ippei in the Kabuki play Koi-nobo Somewake Tazuna, image dates from the 1790's but this woodcut was likely executed in the 20th century, 14 x 9 inches, in a black bamboo frame measuring 21 x 16 inches.
