In a synthetic world of fast content, I feel a strong need to slow down and truly feel.
I create emotional worlds that people can step into — nostalgic worlds with a subtle cinematic atmosphere.
I love “capturing” simple moments, and I try to give form to the quiet wonder of fleeting experiences.
From a very young age, I was drawn to music from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, and I used to record songs onto cassette tapes.
I would collect objects in an attempt to preserve moments forever — objects I knew would eventually be replaced by newer and more advanced versions, and that I wanted to “save” from a rapidly changing world that never looks back.
This is why I kept telephone tokens, movie tickets, cassette tapes, and more.
I believe beauty exists in classical, simple, and unprocessed elements, and I constantly search for traces of an old and disappearing world in the things around me.
I work primarily with oil paints and occasionally incorporate mixed media techniques.
My style can be described as Abstract Realism — a combination of realistic elements with abstract areas, infused with touches of Surrealism.
In my works, I often integrate classical and nostalgic motifs and imagery, including nature, women, birds, still life, and more.
