Arabic manuscript on gold- and silver-sprinkled coloured paper, with European watermarks, 122 leaves, 21 lines to the page written in elegant nasta'liq script in black ink, text interspersed with red verse-markers, titles written in red in naskhi script, catchwords in wide outer margins, brown morocco gilt, edges frayed, worn, corners of lower cover damaged, missing flap, corner of first folio damaged not affecting text, index listing all the poets included in the anthology
