Shipyard plate / ship's horn / insurance book (3) - Brass, Bronze - 1964

[ translate ]

A rare and unique shipyard plaque of the shipyard Kerstholt from Groningen. This plate is made for the yacht of Prince Rainier of Monaco. The yacht was built in 1963. What makes this lot unique is the presence of the ship's horn (Brand Sonabel) of the yacht and also the insurance book of Lloyds in which the yacht was registered in 1964. The Albecaro II was donated by Prince Rainier to the Sheikh of Abu Dhabi in the 1960s. The sheikh wanted the yacht on land. A Dutch dredging company has carried out the work and excavated a 500 metre trench. Through an employee of the company, these objects have returned to the Netherlands. Especially the offer of these 3 together makes this lot unique. The horn is made in France and has a length of 87 cm. The bronze shipyard plaque is 29. 5 x 16. 7 cm and 8 mm thick. The registration in the Lloyds book is also clear. A registered yacht got this book with its name on the front. Photos are part of the description. Also added a photo of the yacht on which the ship's horn can be seen. The items will be well packaged, sent insured and registered with track and trace code If you win multiple lots from us during this auction, we will charge the best possible shipping costs based on registered shipping. Any overpaid shipping costs to Catawiki will be refunded by us afterwards.
