Shivah Shitot - first edition of Chiddushei HaRashb"a on tractates: Shabbat; Rosh HaShanah; Meggilah; Sukkah; Yevamot; Nedarim; Bava Kamma. (The novellae on Tractate Sukkah are by his disciple, the Ritv"a.) Rabbi Leib Schier's signature is on the title page. There are a number of handwritten corrections and glosses along the book's leaves.
Chiddushei HaRashb"a is one of the most important foundational books of all time, and there is almost not a single Earlier nor Later Authority who does not mention these novellae.
Rabbi Shlomo ben Aderet - the Rashb"a [1235-1310] was an especially great rabbi. He was the leading sage of Spain in his generation and one of the leading Early Authorities . He was a colleague of the Ro"sh, the Ra"ah and the Meiri, and rabbi of the Ritv"a, Rabbeinu Bechayyei and others.
Rabbi Yehudah Leib Schier of Frankfurt [1723-1831] served as Av Beit Din of Detmold, and beginning in 1750 served as rabbi of the Dusseldorf region. He gave an approbation for the Noda BiYehudah's Tzla"ch (Prague, 1799). His Torah thoughts are included in Divrei Emunah (Pietrkov, 1808). A Eulogy for him is printed in Shalosh Yevavot by Rabbi Yehudah Leib Karlsberg (Mainz, 1886).
