Short saber - Silver, enamels and steel - Sabre Shan - Burma - Late 19th century

DESCRIPTION Shan short saber, tubular wooden handle covered with worked silver. Its blade, hot engraved, is in fair condition. Beautifully decorated scabbard in pure silver on a wooden core. Rare enamel decoration. Beautiful work, more complex than it seems because it is done entirely by hand with rudimentary tools. Please note, this saber is in very average condition, due to its age and use, it is a very old and rare piece, please pay attention to the photos. It requires deep cleaning. A similar knife is found in the book "Peuples du Triangle d'Or", see photos. Total length, 70 cm, late 19th century.
