On the cover of the book is the signature of Rabbi Chaim and on the protective page are the ownership records of his sons, the signatures of his sons Pinchas and Yitzchak

The Gaon Rabbi Chaim Natanzon (died 1904), one of the great geniuses of Lithuania, was born in the city of Pikelin to his father Rabbi Avraham Natanzon who served in the city as a Dayan in the court of Rabbi Avraham Harif. In the year 1873, he was ordained to the rabbinate by Rabbi Bezalel HaCohen of Vilna. In 1959 he was appointed the rabbi of the community in Pikelin. After a few years, Rabbi Chaim resigned from the official position of the rabbinate, and passed it on to his brother-in-law Rabbi Ya'akov Wilenchik, author of 'Daltei Tshuva'. He authored the books 'Siftei Chen' (Vilna, 1900) and 'Divrei Chen' (Pietrekov, 1904).
