Rare, second edition copy of Shu”t MaHarshal.

Rabbi Shlomo Luria, The MaHarshal (1510-1573) was a 16th Century leading Rabbi of Ashkenazi Jewry, during the era of the Rema and the Beit Yosef. He was a great Halachic authority and commentator on the Talmud. The MaHaral held leading positions and headed Yeshivot in various town across Poland. His compositions, Chochmat Shlomo and Yam Shel Shlomo are recognized as fundamental commentaries on Talmud Bavli. The MaHarshal’s Halachic rulings are oft-quoted in Halachic works. Leading Rabbis are among his disciples, including The Sema, the author of Mateh Moshe, the author of Mas’at Binyamin and the Kli Yakar.

Lublin, 1594. Second edition.
72 leaves. 27 cm. The title page is slightly restored on the edges. The final 6 leaves have light taping and are a little restored. Aside from this, the copy is complete and beautiful.
