The NOT A BANKSY Series is a reflection on the anti-system artistic paradigm of Banksy, who, despite hiding his identity, remains the artist with the most media impact of all time. A replica of one of his pieces tests his ultimate truth: the work MUST be done with impunity, otherwise Banksy is the system.
The same paradox presents the name of the Series that denies belonging to explain its existence. A twist on René Magritte's "Ceci n'est pas une pipe" concept, this is "Is Not a Banksy".
