[ translate ]

**Originally Listed At $300**

Native American, New Mexico, Santa Clara Pueblo, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A wonderful group of original hand-coiled and carved blackware pieces, all signed by three different Santa Clara artists: Tricia Velarde, Elaine Salazar, and Sophie Cata. The first is by Salazar and exhibits a squat body, round mouth, and deeply incised geometric motifs around the shoulder. The next piece, by Cata, has a square mouth and rounded sides that are deeply carved. These two bowls are a matte black color within the recessed carvings, while the surrounding surface is a lustrous, jet black hue; a nice contrast! The last bowl, by Velarde, is a simple round pot that tapers upward to a thick lip. All three are signed on their flat bases by the artists. Size of largest: 4.5" W x 4.5" H (11.4 cm x 11.4 cm)

Provenance: private Niwot, Colorado, USA collection

All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.

A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany all winning bids.
