Signed in lower left corner. Elizabeth Moore is a mixed media artist who enjoys experimenting with a variety of tools, techniques, media, and materials. She is both a conceptual & cultural artist. In each of her paintings, she attempts to make meaning & tell a story, through the use of cultural symbols, signs, words, & images. Her work is typically multi-layered with collaged elements, heavily textured, brightly colored, & non-representational. Most of her paintings include hidden signs, symbols, & words that reflect an inner dialogue about the piece that is rarely evident at first glance. These hidden elements represent cultural artifacts, artistically expressed.
