Endorsement Text is Handwritten by His Son, the Minchas Elazar

Signed letter endorsing the sefer Ateres Eliyahu by Rabbi Eliyahu Frankel, Av Beis Din of Liska, from Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Shapira of Munkacz known as the Darchei Teshuva and his son the Minchas Elazar.

The endorsement itself was handwritten by the Minchas Elazar and signed by his father the Darchei Teshuva.
It concludes with a blessing to those possessing the sefer. Dated Munkacz, 1913,

Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Shapira (1850 - 1913) was the son of Rabbi Shlomo Shapira, Av Beis Din of Munkatch, son of Rabbi Elazar Melntzhut, son of the Bnei Yissachar. A prized disciple of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, he served as Av Beis Din and Admor of Munkatch beginning in year 1893. He was a strong opponent of the maskilim in Hungary and stood firmly against any perceived additions or changes to authentic Judaism. This eventually led him to oppose the establishment of Agudas Yisrael. His novellae are published in Darchei Teshuva on Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah, Tiferes Tzvi Responsa and many other sefarim.
