Signed J. Velasco Watercolor of Figure in Coastal Pool
A striking signed J. Velasco watercolor depicting a lone male figure standing ankle-deep in a vivid turquoise tidal pool or coastal inlet. Rendered in warm earth tones and loose expressive washes, the composition contrasts the sunlit ochre shoreline with the cool blue-green water, where the figure’s reflection creates a strong mirrored focal point. The distant horizon and open sky add a calm, contemplative atmosphere, giving the work a distinctly Mediterranean or Spanish coastal mood. The fluid brushwork and elegant color transitions are consistent with the decorative figurative style associated with Jorge Velasco Navarro. Size: 12 x 10 in.
Condition
Overall good vintage condition.
