Signed Letter, Irish Poet William Butler Yeats

Autographed letter in ink sent by Irish poet William Butler Yeats to unknown recipient, dated Feb. 2 [no year] and addressed from "At Coole Park, County Galway." Text reads: "Dear Sir, Your letter has been sent on to me here. I think all I can now remember about Davidson is in "Autographes" all that is not hearsay. He as you no doubt know committed suicide in the belief that he had cancer, added to the rest. I believe he left children. I think there is a son somewhere in Devonshire or Cornwall. Davidson married a woman of the Working Classes. Probably you could get information among those that knew him when he was a Schoolmaster in Scotland. I met a man who knew him, this some years ago, but forgot his name. Itwas in Glasgow I think. Yours, W.B. Yeats" Good condition, set in wooden frame under glass, measures: 12.25" H x 15.25" W
