The painting depicts this Highland landscape with a mother and her children walking beside the river. Old wooden eel traps lay in the water to the side and one can also spot an old river keepers cottage nestled into the trees on the river bank. A beautiful scene indeed, signed and dated by this well listed Victorian painter.
