King Gillette, who invented and marketed the safety razor, founded the American Safety Razor Company on September 28, 1901, changing the company's name to Gillette Safety Razor Company the following year. The inscription reads "With best wishes to Louie and Heni on their second wedding trip. King C. Gillette, Brookline, July 28th, 1906."
Condition Report: Mount a bit toned, chip to lower corner, two small nicks to top edge; very good.
