Circular, with filleted contours, two leaf-decorated handles; the lid is surmounted by a ring also featuring leaf-decorated fillets. Lid and body engraved with a coat of arms surmounted by a marquis’s crown topped by a griffin (crest), with the motto ONCQUE NE FAILLI [Never fails]: Or, a lion sable[...] which are the coat of arms and motto of the CHAMBORANT family.
