Silver (950) oil and vinegar set. PARIS, François LE DAGRE (admitted as a master in 1784), 1785–1786. Oval basin with a beaded frieze around the rim, resting on four feet with scrollwork and leaf-shaped finials. Decorated with vine tendrils at the ends. Stopper holders shaped like a laurel wreath. Mounts edged with a beaded frieze; scroll-shaped uprights surrounding a bunch of grapes. Silver stoppers adorned with a beaded frieze and edged with foliage. Two glass vials. The stopper holders are warped, and one sidepost is broken at the base. One vial is broken. Height: 19.5 cm; Length: 30 cm; Net weight: 639 g. Expert: Sophie Vergne
