Silver - Bracelet

Articulated silver bracelet (banjiri bu shawkah/banagiri mushawwaka, literally 'spiked bracelet') featuring a double row of spiked bosses punctuated by vertical rows of four small round bosses. Made from silver leaf heated and hammered into a mold (stamped) . The exterior of the bracelet is covered with a gold-washed silver band. A chain and a pin close the bracelet. The edges of the bracelets are decorated with a rope-shaped pattern made from metal threads. Style from northern Oman, worn throughout the country and particularly by women of the interior (e. g. Nizwa, Sinaw and Rustaq)
A similar pair is kept at the British Museum (London) , a copy is presented in the book "Ethnic jewelry. . . " René van der Star collection. the “bible” of works on ethnic jewelry.
