Condition Report:
In good condition, especially given the age of the piece, the mounting with scratches and scuffs commensurate with wear, and with oxidation and discoloration commensurate with age. French import marks for silver and 18 karat gold. Diamond weight stated in catalogue description approximated using measurements. The old mine-cut diamonds are approximately H-K color with a few L+ examples, SI-I clarity, as is typical of diamonds from this period. The rose-cut diamonds of decorative quality. The pearls are of creamy white to white body color with soft overtones, with minor to moderate blemishing including wrinkled skins, pitting and ringing, not noticeable when worn. Gross weight approximately 24 dwts. Brooch fitting detaches with the use of accompanying screwdriver, which then allows for the swags and central pearl drop to be detached; two small pendant loops are located at the top corners of the brooch. Please note the pearls have not been tested for natural origin.
