Biography: Martinez Cabrera, a visual artist and Design graduate from Cuba, uses oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media, and his works are often accompanied by ceramics, especially those created during this period of social distancing due to the pandemic. Among the themes he frequently addresses in his conceptual work are environmental stewardship and global migration, an old but growing phenomenon with many painful elements. In addition to his creative work, the artist offers his knowledge to young people, children, and adults in a space created about five years ago in this capital called Casa Arte Estudio. For Mart?nez Cabrera, art is much more than putting a representation on canvas or another material; it is also a transformative process for society, aesthetic taste, and ideas. He graduated from the National School of Design in 1973 and has since participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Brazil, Colombia, Canada, the United States, France, Mozambique, and at the 1998 ARCO Fair in Spain and in his native country.
