Sino-Tibetan Mandala Thangka, circa eighteenth century, hand-painted with deities in clouds encircling a mandala on blue velvet, with gold thread border mounted upon gold-tone silk scroll, giltwood frame. Image: 20" H x 17" W; frame: 26.25" H x 19.75" W. Provenance: Property from the Manhattan estate of Indrani Yogasundram who lived in many different countries with her husband, Yogaraj, during his decades-long career as a Sri Lankan diplomat. In addition to the heirloom jewelry she possessed, Indrani acquired jewelry, art, and ornaments while stationed in China (1960-63), Sri Lanka (1963-65), and Iraq (1965-1967).
