Note: Sir Nicholas Goodison notes: Bone went to live in Florence in October 1910 and moved a month later to Rome, then to Perugia, back to Rome and finally Venice before returning to England towards the end of 1912. An exhibition of 58 of his Italian drawings was held at Colnaghi in 1914.
