Written by Michael Frayn, the Broadway cast included Glenn Close (who won a Tony® two years prior in the Codron-produced play The Real Thing), Mary Beth Hurt, Simon Jones and Sam Waterston. At the 1986 Tony Awards®, the production was nominated for Best Play and Best Actress (Mary Beth Hurt).
