Syrup jug : Northern Italy, 19th century. The cylindrical body with stepped rim, short spout, ribbon handle, inscription cartouche ''S 5 Radicum'' (syrup from roots of 5 plants) on the front, flanked by two winged female figures sitting on vines. White-ground glazed majolica with painting in blue and little yellow. H. 19,7 cm. - Slightly bruised around the rim. // Sirupkanne : Norditalien, 19. Jh. : Ueber rundem Fuss der zylindrische Korpus mit abgesetztem Rand, kurzes Ausgussrohr, Bandhenkel; schauseitig Inschriftenkartusche "S 5 Radicum", flankiert von zwei auf Weinreben sitzenden gefluegelten Frauenfiguren. Weissgrundig glasierte Majolika mit Malerei in Blau und wenig Gelb. H. 19,7 cm. - Geringe Randbestossungen.
